Prospective patients occasionally ask us, “Why don’t you have an online gallery?” We have deliberately chosen not to post patient photos online. Here is our reasoning:
Valuing Your Privacy
When choosing a plastic surgeon to perform an aesthetic procedure, an important aspect is viewing the surgeon’s previous work. In order to make an educated decision, a patient may ask to see surgical results. While a before and after gallery is often found on many plastic surgery practices’ websites, we have opted against posting one.
The reason for this is that we pride ourselves on respecting the special and unique doctor/patient relationship, and we feel that posting before and after photos of a patient publicly compromises that privacy by putting it on the Internet.
While some patients may not object to their photos being posted on a public website for the world to see, many others do. As part of our policy at Dr. Olivia Hutchinson’s practice, we have simply chosen not to display these photos for public viewing.
Of course, we are aware that patients may still be interested in seeing procedure results. At the time of your consultation with Dr. Hutchinson, we will be happy to provide you with before and after pictures of the procedure(s) you are considering.
Our gallery awaits…in our office consultation room.
